Working together to encourage equity through literacy communities: a challenge of the 21st century..this is the motto of the 20th European Conference on Literacy, which takes place in Madrid this year. European and international literacy experts will gather to discuss and highlight researches and good practices in literacy implemented within and outside school environments.

Our partners will be there to contribute with numerous workshops, presentations and symposiums. One of the most interesting ones, “Make every teacher a teacher of literacy”, will be chaired by our coordinator, Christine Garbe, and supported by the majority of our partners. During the workshop,   good practice projects and programmes from all over Europe will be presented and discussed. Additionally, emphasis will be given on strategies which strengthen the literacy expertise of secondary subject teachers through initial teacher education and professional development.
